Morning start to visit Royal Palace facing the Mekong River, and its adjoining Silver Pagoda built in 1962 famous for its lavish decorations of silver paved floor and several Buddha statues made from precious metals & stones. Next visit to Wat Ounalom– consists of a cluster of 44 buildings. Erected in 1952, the main temple is the modern recreation of the original shrine that was constructed in the 15th century. It is spread over three levels and has to its credit an interesting collection of magnificent paintings and cultural relics that throw light on the life of the Lord Buddha. Afternoon visit National Museum is the museum we gather and keep the statue since Angkorian period. National Museum: also called Musee des Beaux-Arts. A French archaeologist and painter, Georges Groslier, designed it in Khmer style in 1920. Afternoon visit Toul Sleng Genocide Museum formed Tuol Svay Prey High School, it become the prison during Pol Pot Regime (1975-1979) and end day with shopping at Toul Tompoung Market. Morning: Breakfast at hotel. Free at leisure until checking out hotel. Transfer to bus station for bus ride to Saigon (SIC) in 7 hours. Arrive in Mekong Express station in Pham Ngu Lao, driver pickup and transfer to Hotel and then check in. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.
After breakfast at hotel, meet your guide and Transfer to My Tho with group. Enjoy the scenic journey along the National
Highway bordered by green rice fields.
On arrived at My Tho, visit Vinh Trang pagoda, take a leisurely boat ride along the river, view the stilt houses, fruit plantations and fishing villages along the river bank. Proceed to Tortoise islet, have lunch in the orchard garden.Then a boat ride to An Khanh – a less touristy attraction in Ben Tre, enjoy cruising on a hand-rowed sampan under the shadow of the water coconut trees along natural canals, then enjoy seasonal fruit & honey tea to the sound of “Southern Vietnamese folk music“, performed by locals.
Visit a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle, taste the delicious coconut candy & observe the pastoral life as you roam through the fruit plantation and village. Meet the bus and return to HCMC.
Morning: Have breakfast at hotel. In the morning visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office, and Reunification Palace. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum.
Break time for lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon trip to Cu Chi tunnels – a popular spot for both Vietnamese & foreign tourists. The network of over 200km of tunnels became legendary when they played a vital role in the War. In their heyday, the tunnels were functioning underground cities included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapon factories, field hospitals, command centers & kitchen. Plenty of evidence of the fierce battle that took place here during the 1960s when Cu Chi was a “Free Target Zone”. Today, start our trip, visitor can have chance to know how the tunnel was constructed, spend the next hours exploring the tunnels and war remnants, where you’ll learn more about the conditions the people lived in, the hardships they faced, and the amazing ingenuity employed to maintain life in the tunnels, sample some of the simple cuisine that local fighters would have survived on, and have an opportunity to venture into the tunnels and explore the complex.
Back to Saigon. You will be dropped off at hotel.
